Reported Altercation With Gun Leads To Drug Charges In Penndel: Police

The Penndel Borough Police Department said no weapon was found at the Mill Creek Apartments, but charged a man with drug possession.

PENNDEL, PA —A 21-year-old man faces multiple drug charges after police answered a 911 call about a man threatening another resident of an apartment complex with a gun.

Officers with the Penndel Borough Police Department were dispatched at 5:40 p.m. Sept. 26 to the Mill Creek Apartments for the report of an armed subject wearing black clothing threatening another resident and that the 911 caller observed a handgun during the altercation.

During the investigation, officers observed a man who matched the description from the 911 caller.

Police did not find a weapon at the scene. But during a search, a large amount of suspected marijuana was recovered, police said.

While speaking with the man, officers could see a bulge in the pouch of the hoodie that he was wearing. Police said the man refused to obey orders and resisted officers who attempted to place him in handcuffs before they did so.

Brian Lockhart, 21, was charged with possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia and criminal use of a communication facility.
