Resident Assaulted During Home Invasion: Bristol Borough Police
A homeowner was assaulted during an altercation with 3 intruders Monday in Bristol Borough in what police said was a targeted attack.

A homeowner was assaulted during an altercation with three intruders Monday in Bristol Borough, police said. An investigation into the incident revealed it was a targeted event and not a random incident, police confirmed.
The incident happened around 12:15 a.m. on the 200 block of Cleveland Street. Police were dispatched for a report of a home invasion in progress. Three people forced there way into the residence and assaulted the occupants, according to police.
When police arrived, one of the suspects was found semi-conscious after an altercation with the homeowners.

The suspect, identified as Robert Vincent Monacelli of Chester, was transported to Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital by the Bucks County Rescue Squad for treatment. Once he was cleared medically, he was transported to the Bristol Borough Police Department for arraignment on charges of burglary, aggravated assault, and related crimes.
Bail was set at 10 percent of $200,00. Monacelli was unable to post bail and was remanded to the Bucks County Prison. Monacelli also had several warrants out of Bucks and Philadelphia Counties.

Police are seeking the other two intruders.
