FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA —With the start of school, the township police department could use some extra hands to ensure student safety.
The Falls Township Police Department is accepting applications for substitute crossing guards.
The responsibilities and duties include assisting school children across assigned intersections, a police release stated.

Applicants must be able to work well with children and be mindful about traffic safety and the safety of pedestrians.
Applicants must be required to work in any weather conditions, wear a safety vest, use equipment for traffic control and be able to hold a stop sign at least 48 inches off the ground.

All applicants must pass a physical, drug screening and background check.
