See Underwater Search For Submerged Tesla In Bucks Co. Lake
Bucks County dive teams pulled the vehicle from the lake during an incident Thursday night which claimed the life of a New Jersey man.

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — An underwater search took several hours and multiple dives to pull a submerged Tesla that was driven into Lake Luxembourg at Core Creek Park last week, authorities said.
The Bucks County Special Operations dive team was brought in to pull the Tesla from the lake during an incident Thursday night that claimed the life of a 33-year-old Princeton, N.J., man.
Authorities are investigating why Wen H Chen drove into the lake. Bucks County Coroner Patti Campi said Chen's autopsy results are still pending.

The Special Operations Dive Team was called to assist the Bucks County Park Rangers and the Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company in recovering the Tesla. See a picture of the vehicle below.
The vehicle had settled several hundred feet from the launch, making it impossible to hook directly to a tow truck, authorities said.

The Dive Team, along with members of the Technical Rescue Team, conducted an underwater search, deployed an airbag to give the vehicle some buoyancy, and then connected a rope and slings to the vehicle's rear tire.
Authorities said the rope was connected to the tow truck's tow cable, and after several hours and multiple dives, the vehicle was towed to the shore.
Authorities were alerted Thursday to the incident by a kayaker, who called 911 to report that a Tesla was in the lake several hundred feet from the boat ramp area off Tollgate and Fulling Mill roads.
