Shooting Of Woman Under Investigation In Bristol Twp.

Bristol Township Police seek information about why a 33-year-old woman was shot on Tuesday night around Norton Avenue.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA —The Bristol Township Police Department is investigating a shooting of a woman that took place on Tuesday night.

Lt. Sean Cosgrove said the shooting happened at 10:42 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Norton Avenue and Watson Avenue.

He said that an anonymous woman called 911 and reported a female gunshot victim.

Police officers located the 33-year-old victim. Police provided immediate care until Levittown-Fairless Rescue Squad arrived and took over her care.

She was transported to St. Mary's Medical Center for treatment. She is in stable condition.

As of this time, no arrest has been made, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
