State Trooper Injured After Vehicle Struck On Route 295
Pennsylvania State Police said the trooper jumped over a concrete median after a BMW struck the patrol vehicle Monday in Bristol Township.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA —A Pennsylvania State Trooper has been injured after the patrol vehicle was struck on eastbound Route 295 early Monday morning during a disabled vehicle check, state police said.
The Pennsylvania State Police Troop M, Trevose Station, is investigating the crash at 4:56 a.m. Monday on eastbound Route 295 near mile marker 0.7 in Bristol Township.
State Police said the troopers were outside the vehicle assisting a disabled vehicle when a BMW sedan rear-ended the patrol vehicle, causing the patrol vehicle to strike the disabled vehicle.

Police said a trooper jumped over the concrete median to avoid being struck. The trooper suffered minor injuries.
The BMW driver was injured and taken to Saint Mary’s Medical Center, state police said.

State Police remind motorists approaching an emergency response area to move over to a lane farther away.
Drivers who are unable to safely merge into a lane farther away from the emergency response area are required to slow to no more than 20 mph below the posted speed limit.
