Teen Held On $1 Million Bail For Incident With Lower Bucks Judge

Bristol Township Police said the 19-year-old resident disrupted a courtroom Thursday morning by yelling at a judge and resisting arrest.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA —A 19-year-old man is being held on $1 million bail after he yelled at a judge in a courtroom Thursday morning, police said.

The Bristol Township Police Department said that Wilkenton Charles Sanon, 19, was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, resisting arrest, terroristic threats, and disorderly conduct.

He was arrested just after 10 a.m. Thursday following the incident at the New Falls Road courtroom where he caused a disturbance, fought with a police officer, and yelled at District Judge Terry Hughes.

Bristol Township Police responded to the courthouse after being alerted that Sanon, a Bristol Township resident, was yelling at the judge and not remaining silent as requested.

As officers attempted to detain Sanon, he resisted arrest, pulling away and swinging his arms and legs at them, Levittown Now reported.

Levittown Now reported that efforts to subdue Sanon involved a Taser in “drive stun” mode failed, and the altercation escalated with Sanon kicking at officers, police said.

Sanon was eventually taken into custody following a struggle and after an officer successfully deployed a Taser with probes, police said.

Sanon was brought before District Judge Kevin Wagner at 1:45 p.m. on three counts of simple assault, two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of disorderly conduct, a single count of terroristic threats, and a single count of resisting arrest.

He was held at the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $1 million bail.
