FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA —Three juveniles are in custody after they led police on a chase following an alleged vehicle theft in Levittown last week, police said.

The Falls Township Police Department was dispatched around 2:43 a.m. Wednesday to the unit block of Pinewood Drive in Levittown for the report of a theft from a vehicle in progress.

Police said the homeowners reported two males in dark clothing going through their 2023 BMW X5.

A review of video surveillance revealed a small car pulling up a few houses down from the Pinewood Drive address, and two males getting out of the vehicle, police said.

One went into the driveway of another vehicle, but it was locked. The other went inside the BMW and took several credit cards, including three Bank of America cards, one TD Bank card, one Chase Bank card, and the owner’s driver’s license, police said.

Police said the video shows the suspects fleeing in the car that dropped them off, with one more male in the driver’s seat, police said.

Police officers searched for the light-colored vehicle matching the description and another larger dark SUV leaving the Pinewood section.

An officer pursued the vehicles and attempted to conduct a vehicle stop by activating the emergency red and blue lights, but the vehicles fled, taking several police vehicles on a short pursuit, which ended in both vehicles crashing at the Wawa at Bristol Oxford Valley Road and North Oxford Valley Road.

After the vehicles crashed, four males fled the scene on foot, police said.

The smaller vehicle was a silver 2013 Kia Rio. It had been reported stolen out of Philadelphia, police said.

Police said three juveniles —all from Philadelphia —were apprehended after a brief search but the fourth was never found or identified.

One teen was taken to Jefferson Bucks Hospital for evaluation. The other two teens were not hurt in the crash, police said.

All three were taken to the Bucks County Youth Detection Center in Edison, police said.
