Police said that due to the "aggressive nature of the crimes" following an investigation stemming from a domestic assault case, a warrant was issued for Werts and he was arrested in the Penndel Shopping Plaza without incident on Feb. 20.
Werts was taken to Penndel Police Headquarters and placed in the cell block where police said he began kicking the metal door and hitting his head on the wall, police said.

Police called EMS to have Werts transported to the emergency room for treatment.
Werts became "extremely irate" with EMS and the assisting officers to the point that he needed to be restrained on the stretcher, police said.
Werts continued his tirade in the emergency room, assaulting doctors and nurses, and breaking medical equipment.
He was arraigned the next day in the hospital and was sent to Bucks County Prison.
Werts' residence was not provided by police.
