MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The township is preaching transparency to its residents.

At its January 12 meeting, the Middletown Township Board of Supervisors introduced a new reporting format aimed at enhancing transparency and communication with residents.

Officials said that all department heads will now provide reports to supervisors every other month.

At the January meeting, reports were presented by the Township Manager’s Office, Police Department, Parks & Recreation, Human Resources, and Engineering.

Departments not scheduled for an oral report submitted written updates, which are available for public review at MiddletownBucks.org.

"This initiative reflects the township’s ongoing commitment to open, accessible government," officials said.

Residents who were unable to attend the meeting can view a full recap on the township’s YouTube channel @Middletownbucks.

Meanwhile, eighth-grader Sophia Barone sang the "National Anthem" at the meeting.

Barone is a Maple Point Middle School student, a member of the National Junior Honor Society, and participates in band and choir.
