Trio Charged For Bristol Township 7-Eleven Robbery, 8 Others

Three men have been arrested for nine 7-Eleven store robberies, including one in Bristol Township in February.

Nazear Newton, 18, of Huntington Valley, Quentin Archie, 19, of Philadelphia, and Phillip Coleman Jr., 19, of Philadelphia face numerous charges in conjunction with the alleged robbery spree in Bucks, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties that went from late January to late February.

All three have been charged with criminal conspiracy, robbery, theft by unlawful taking and related charges. They were arraigned Monday and are being held on $1 million bail each. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 27 in Montgomery County Court.

Police cracked the case after an officer in Upper Dublin pulled the three men over following the Feb. 21 robbery of an Ambler 7-Eleven. Following their arrest for that robbery, police determined they were also responsible for eight additional robberies.

The investigation included viewing surveillance footage, cell phone communications and witness accounts.

Text messages sent between two of the suspects just before the robberies were obtained by police. Messages included statements like "u got a bag" and “bring a knife” and “make sure you get a mask.”

The three are alleged to have conducted the following armed robberies, according to authorities:

• Jan. 21, 11:33 p.m. Hulmeville Road, Bensalem
• Jan 30, 12:53 a.m., Welsh Road, Philadelphia
• Feb. 1, 2:23 a.m., Veteran’s Highway, Bristol Township
• Feb. 7, 4:30 a.m. Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia
• Feb. 16, 2:08 a.m. Willow Grove Avenue, Glenside
• Feb. 16, 4:05 a.m. Broad Street, Philadelphia
• Feb. 17, 4:54 a.m. Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia
• Feb. 21, 1:45 a.m. Limekiln Pike, Warrington
• Feb. 21 3:00 a.m. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler

The arrests come as another string of robberies in Bucks County was reported last week. The suspects in last week's robberies in Newtown, Bensalem and Warminster are still at large.
