Glenn Miller Orchestra Coming To Truman High School

On Monday, Nov. 30, the world-famous Glenn Miller Orchestra will perform at Harry S. Truman High School in Levittown.

On Monday, November 30, the world-famous Glenn Miller Orchestra will perform at Harry S. Truman High School in Levittown. Opening for the Glenn Miller Orchestra is the Millersville University Jazz Band directed by Keith Wiley.

With its unique jazz sound, the Glenn Miller Orchestra is considered one of the greatest bands of all times. Fans of big band and swing music will enjoy an evening of the classics when the orchestra comes to town. Among Miller’s many hits are: “Tuxedo Junction,” “In the Mood” and “Pennsylvania 6-5000.”

The Glenn Miller Orchestra is a fully self-contained group consisting of the music director, five saxophone players, four trumpeters, four trombonists, and three rhythm musicians (piano, bass and drums). Two vocalists--one male and one female--perform individually and as part of a vocal group.

The orchestra has performed in all 50 United States, as well as throughout Europe, Australia, Iceland, New Zealand, Guam, the Philippines, and South and Central America.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for students and seniors. Truman High School is located at 3001 Green Lane, Levittown, PA. Doors open at 6:30 P.M. and the show will begin at 7:00 P.M. To purchase tickets go to http://sites.google.com/site/trumantigerband
