LEVITTOWN, PA – The Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation has awarded a $5,000 Lowe’s Toolbox for Education® grant to Harry S Truman High School in the Bristol Township School District for renovating the school’s library. Truman is one of 545 schools across the United States to be awarded a Lowe’s Toolbox for Education grant this spring for improvement projects.
Truman's library is the hub of learning and collaboration for students. Whether it's a group project, research, debate team practice, after school help, an intense chess match or just a quiet corner to study, the library is the place to be. The Lowes grant will allow the District to freshen up this beloved space.
Over the next few months the library will get a fresh coat of paint and new flooring, which will create a new look. Students will participate in the design and rehab. Once the plan is in place, organizers would like to propose additional changes that they hope will be funded by additional donations and fundraisers.
