Bomb Threat: Tullytown School Re-Opened, Investigation Underway

The threat at the school came the same day suspicious packages were sent to several Democratic politicians and CNN's New York office.

TULLYTOWN, PA — Police are investigating after a charter school in Tullytown was evacuated Wednesday morning due to a bomb threat.

The Center For Student Learning charter school on Lakeside Drive had been reopened by Wednesday afternoon, Tullytown Borough Police Chief Daniel J. Doyle said. Doyle told Patch that the school, which police evacuated late Wednesday morning, received a handwritten bomb threat.

Police were called to the school at about 10:45 a.m. After students and staff were evacuated, police searched the school with K9 bomb-detection teams, according to Doyle. He said police continue to investigate who sent the written threat.
