VIDEO: Man Chases, Shoots Would-Be Thief In Morrisville

An alleged attempted car break-in prompted a chase and shooting early Thursday morning in Morrisville.

The incident,which was captured on surveillance video, unfolded around 5:30 a.m. when a resident there said he saw someone try to break into his car, according to a report by 6ABC. The resident got into his car, chased the suspect by vehicle to East Bridge and North Pennsylvania avenues, where the suspect's car crashed. It was at that point that the homeowner shot the suspect in the arm, the report says.

Police responded to the scene and took the man who was shot into custody and to an area hospital for treatment. The incident is under investigation.
