Watch Bridal Business, Several Shops Burn In Bristol Fire
The Croydon Fire Company used its drone to capture video of firefighters battling a blaze in Bristol Borough Friday afternoon.

BRISTOL, PA —A bridal business and several shops were burned in a fire Friday afternoon, fire officials said. See Video Below.
A fire raged on the roof of The Elegant Affair Bridal Gallery on Pond Street and several neighboring businesses as numerous Lower Bucks fire departments worked to contain the blaze.
The Third District Volunteer Fire Company of Bristol said it dispatched Engine 14 at 3:40 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, to the fire at 420 Pond St.

Fire officials said Engine 14 was the first arriving engine and was able to secure a water supply, stretch two attack lines and place a deck gun in service to quickly knock down the building fire. Tower 14 assisted with checks after responding to the second alarm.
The Croydon Fire Company Volunteers assisted with the single-story building that showed fire from, and possibly through, the roof.

Ladder 11, followed shortly by Engine 11, responded and performed forcible entry, laddering of the building, and roof operations. Engine 11 also assisted with fire suppression.
Croydon utilized its UAV 11 (Drone) for scene coverage from the air as well as its thermal imaging technology to monitor the fire's progression and extension to attached structures.
Bristol Borough fire officials called in the Bucks County Fire Marshal’s Office to assist with the investigation into the cause.
The bridal shop and tuxedo business were spared the worst of the damage. Bristol Borough Fire Chief Herb Slack told Levittown Now that the dress shop suffered smoke and water damage. The most serious damage occurred at what appeared to be an empty storefront.
No injuries were reported.
Traffic in the area of the fire was detoured into the evening hours, Levittown Now said.
America Hose, Hook, and Ladder; Bristol; Bristol Consolidated; Croydon; Edgely; Falls Township; Fairless Hills; Goodwill Hose; Levittown No. 1; Levittown No. 2; Newportville; Newport; Penndel; and William Penn fire companies responded to the scene.
