
A William Penn teacher who collapsed during school has died.
Levittown Patch has learned that teacher Marguerite Ferraro collapsed during homeroom period last week.
“It pains me deeply to inform you that Mrs. Marguerite Ferraro has passed away from complications of a recent medical emergency that occurred last week during school,” Principal Paul F. Meehan said in a memo.

On Tuesday, Meehan released a memo to students, staff, and parents regarding Ferraro departure.
Meehan said Ferraro was a special education teacher at William Penn since September and prior to that, she was a member of the Charles Boehm teaching staff.

“I ask that you keep her family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. On behalf of the entire William Penn staff, I would like to express our deepest sympathy to everyone who loved her and everyone she loved,” Meehan said in the memo.
Funeral arrangements or memorial service information for Ferraro have not yet been determined, Meehan said. Ferraro is survived by her husband, two young children, her parents and several brothers and sisters.
School counseling services will be provided to students or staff members who need are in need during the grieving process.
Meehan added, "Please do not hesitate to call our guidance office or the main office at 215-428-4280 if you feel that you or someone you know is in need of help."
