Woman Killed In Crash In Middletown Twp.

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA —A woman was killed in a one-car crash over the weekend near Brownsville Road, police said.

The Middletown Township Police Department responded at 6:30 p.m. Sunday to Brownsville Road and South Buckthorne Avenue for numerous reports of a single-vehicle crash.

Police said they found a driver unresponsive in a white Hyundai Elantra was found resting against a raised berm in the eastbound direction of Brownsville Road.

Police said residents near the crash were actively attempting CPR.

The driver was the only occupant in the car and was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly after.

The driver's name is not being released at this time pending notification of next of kin.

The Middletown Township Police Traffic Safety Unit is handling the ongoing investigation.
