Yoga on The River, Brewfest Among Weekend Events

Here's a look at some local weekend events:

OUTDOOR WINE CONCERT

What: Live music, food and fun at Shady Brook Farm in Yardley. There will be a band, plus wine and food for sale and a playground to keep the kids busy.

When/where: Friday at 6:30 p.m., Shady Brook Farm, 930 Stony Hill Road, Yardley

Cost: Free, food and beverage prices vary

WASHINGTON CROSSING BREWFEST

What: Sample beers from local, regional and national breweries, plus enjoy live music and food. The event is a fundraiser for Friends of Washington Crossing Park.

When/where: Saturday from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Washington Crossing Historic Park (upper park behind Thompson Neely House.)

YOGA ON THE RIVER

What: Yoga class held on the banks of the scenic Delaware River 

When/where: Saturday at 9 a.m. at Mill and Radcliffe streets in Bristol

Cost: $6.25

BUCKS COUNTY BARN PROGRAM

What: Nancy J. Steigerwalt will present “Searching for Barns in Bucks County

When/where: Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Yardley-Makefield Branch Library, 1080 Edgewood Rd, Yardley

Cost: Free

RACE FOR CHRISTINA

What: Local resident Catherine Logan is organizing the Race for Christina, a 5K to raise money to help find a cure for Friedrich’s ataxia, a neuromuscular disease.

When/where: Sunday at 9 a.m. at Tyler State Park. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The race will begin by the Tyler Park Center for the Arts; use the Richboro Road entrance.

Cost: $20 in advance or $25 that day. Children are $10. Pre-registration is available online by visiting this link.
