• Ligonier Valley School Board member resigns, citing concerns with district's budget process (triblive.com) — A Ligonier Valley school board member from Ligonier Township has resigned over concerns with how the district handled its 2026-27 budget, which included a 3-mill tax increase and use of savings to close a deficit. The district is now accepting applications from Ligonier-area residents to fill the vacant seat through December 2027, with materials due at the West Main Street office by Oct. 9.
