1.2 Miles Of Major Route 422 Reconstruction Now Complete
A major project to reconstruct a stretch of Route 422 has been completed, officials announced.

NORTH COVENTRY, PA — A major project to reconstruct a stretch of Route 422 has been completed, officials announced.
The project improved a 1.2 mile stretch of road in North Coventry, West Pottsgrove, and Douglass Township, spanning Chester, Montgomery, and Berks counties.
"The completion of this project marks another milestone for PennDOT and its mission to reconstruct seven miles of U.S. 422 in Chester and Montgomery counties,” Gov. Tom Wolf said in a statement.

Work included reconfiguring the Stowe interchange to a diamond configuration, replacing existing ramps and culverts, installing new Intelligent Transportation Systems, paving, lighting, concrete medians, guide rails, stormwater management, and wetlands improvements.
Smaller scale "post-construction" work will continue through the end of the year, authorities said.

The $35.6 million project was completed by H & K Group, Inc. of Schwenksville. All funding came from the Pennsylvania Transportation Plan.
