FDA and Teleflex Resolve Issues

The medical technology provider and the Food and Drug Administration have resolved a 4-year-old issue.

Issues from a 2007 warning letter received by the Food and Drug Administration have been resolved for Teleflex Incorporated, which is a medical technology provider all over the globe.

According to a June 20 press release, the letter was in reference to Arrow International, which was acquired by Teleflex shortly before the letter was sent out. Chairman, President and CEO Benson Smith said Teleflex officials quickly addressed the letter.

“One of our key initiatives at Teleflex is to employ best practices throughout our operations," Smith said in the release. "In the process of responding to the Warning Letter, we applied our standards to the entire Arrow organization. Today, the resolution of this issue represents the successful execution of our response to the Agency and illustrates our commitment to ensuring that our systems and procedures across all of our global facilities continue to provide the highest quality medical products for critical care procedures and surgery. The investments we have made, and will continue to make, will ensure the continuous improvement of our processes and products.”
