Funeral Arrangements Set For Lukens Boys, Montco Fire Victims

Funeral arrangements have been set for the sons of a Montgomery County Sheriff's Deputy tragically killed in a house fire last week.

SCHWENKSVILLE, PA — Funeral arrangements have been set for the sons of a Montgomery County Sheriff's Deputy tragically killed in a house fire last week.

The Dec. 13 fire killed Bryan Lukens Jr., 11, and Parker Lukens, 6. Dep. Bryan Lukens, his wife Tracy and their daughter Soffia all were injured in the blaze.

The Lukens family asked the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office to share the funeral dates for their sons. Viewings will be held on Thursday, Dec. 21, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, Dec. 22, from 9 a.m. to noon, and again Friday, Dec. 22, at noon. The viewings will be held at the Cornerstone Church of Skippack, located at 1326 Stump Hall Road in Skippack.

Traffic delays should be expected, and those who plan to attend should plan accordingly.

The fire, which occurred early Wednesday morning at the home on the 900 block of Summit Avenue in Schwenksville, took hours to extinguish.

Pennsylvania State Police determined that the fire was accidental and electrical in nature. An extension cord for a space heater on the porch malfunctioned, leading to the blaze.

A GoFundMe campaign benefiting the family has already raised over $321,000.
