Forever Home Rescue hosted a Bow Wow Luau themed Beef and Beer on Saturday at Friendship Fire Company.
The Forever Home Rescue, founded in 2007 by Gail Thomas, is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of animals through fostering.
"We try to find homes for unwanted animals," Thomas said. "Most of them come from high kill shelters and puppy mills."
By offering numerous foster homes throughout the area, Forever Home Rescue was able to save the lives of many pets.

Dogs and cats aren't the only type of animal the rescue will take, however. Birds, horses and whatever they have room for will be taken into the rescue.
