Limerick Tricentennial Celebrations Canceled Due To Nor'easter

LIMERICK, PA — Events celebrating Limerick's tricentennial have been canceled this weekend due to the approaching nor'easter, the township announced Friday.

"The predicted high winds and heavy bands of rain anticipated throughout the day on Saturday, are a safety concern for those who may attend and for Township staff and personnel as well," the township shared in a statement.

The township added that there are not currently any plans to reschedule the event, which has been planned for years.

"We are extremely grateful for the dedication and hard work of all who planned this event over the past several years," they said.
