MAXOUT STRENGTH STUDIOS' CEO JASON GRIGGS NAMED "ADVOCATE OF THE YEAR" BY WILKES UNIVERSITY

The Alumni Recognized For Implementing The First Mentorship Program At The Allan P. Kirby Center for Free Enterprise and Entrepreneurship At

A graduate and long-time supporter of Wilkes University, Jason Griggs was honored by his alma mater with the prestigious “Advocate of the Year” award for his outstanding work with the Allan P. Kirby Center for Free Enterprise and Entrepreneurship.

Griggs, who is a member of the Wilkes University Board of Trustees, was honored for implementing the Allan P. Kirby Center for Free Enterprise and Entrepreneurship’s first mentorship program. This unique initiative has become a huge success and a “differentiator for Wilkes University in the competitive Higher Education space,” as Griggs explains.

As the President and CEO of Domestic Franchising for MaxOut Strength Studios, Griggs believes strongly in the power of mentorship. In fact, it is one of the pillars for which the MaxOut business model is based. He and business partner Matt Cubbler, vice president and chief operating officer of MaxOut Domestic Franchising, created the Leadership and Mentorship Program (LAMP) to help kids identify within themselves their own personal strengths and weaknesses and then, with the help of the MaxOut staff, guide them down the path of accentuating those strengths while minimizing the exposure of their weaknesses.

This innovative program works in conjunction with MaxOut’s outstanding strength and conditioning programs, thanks to the unique Barwis Methods MaxOut Tower on each piece of training equipment (the counter weight method delivers faster results than typical weight training by maximizing the eccentric or “negative” of a repetition).

“I am very proud to be selected for this prestigious award but, more importantly, to be in a position to help so many young people,” said Griggs. “I am a huge advocate for mentorship and am grateful to have the ability to implement these programs on so many levels. Thank you to Wilkes University.”
