Gimber reportedly broke into the house by smashing a rear glass door with the aluminum bat, before charging upstairs, shoving his wife out of the way, and hitting the man on the head with the bat.

Police tracked down Gimber but he refused to surrender, and was eventually taken into custody with the help of a state police helicopter and a K9 unit, the report states.
