Montco Sheriff's Office Establishes Fund For Family After Fire
The community has raised more than $283,000 for the Lukens family on GoFundMe. The Sheriff's Office has now established a fund as well.

NORRISTOWN, PA — The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office has established a fund for the family of one its deputies who lost his two sons in the tragic fire in Schwenksville on Wednesday morning.
Deputy Bryan Lukens' boys, 11-year-old Bryan and six-year-old Parker, were killed in the blaze. Dep. Lukens, his wife Tracy, and daughter Soffia, 9, were all injured and hospitalized, but survived.
The Lukens Family Fund is accepting donations and all proceeds will go directly to the family.

“I want to thank TD Bank all of the first responders, community leaders and residents who have expressed their compassion and condolences,” Sheriff Sean P. Kilkenny said in a statement. “We have received an overwhelming outpouring of compassion and generosity on behalf of the Lukens family over the past few days.”
This is in addition to the existing GoFundMe campaign, which has generated tremendous response from the community after the horrific blaze. More than 5,000 people have donated over $283,000 as of Friday afternoon.

Kilkenny added that Montgomery Bar Association attorneys Mike Rogers and Seth Wilson offered to provide free legal and insurance counseling for the Lukens, as well.

The blaze was caused by an extension cord to a space heater on the porch failing, Pennsylvania State Police said.
