Phoenixville School District Unable To Move Forward On Construction: Report
The district is waiting on budget crisis to see if they will receive a grant for road construction needed to build the elementary school.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- The battle continues over who should pay for the cost of a $4.6 million construction project in the the Phoenixville Area School District.
School officials are hoping the state will seek a grant, but it’s possible the state could also ask Phoenixville taxpayers to pay for the project, according to the Times Herald.
Because no state budget has been determined, no decision on the grant has been made, the report states.

The grant, which is for $3 million, would pay for some of the construction and widening of Pothouse Road and Route 29, according to the report.
The budget stalemate means that the Commonwealth Financing Authority, which would decide the fate of the grant, has not met.
