Local outreach organization receives good news!
Project Outreach is pleased to announce it is now officially a public charity with tax-exempt status under Section 501(c) (3) of the United Sates Internal Revenue Code. Contributions donated to Project Outreach are fully tax-deductible. Project Outreach is also now eligible to apply for government and foundation grants, which will further broaden its access to resources and strengthen its ability to serve the community.
“Obtaining 501(c) (3) status is a major milestone for Project Outreach, “ remarked Bill Rinker, Board President. “This opens many doors for us to expand fundraising activities and fully realize our goals as a charitable organization in our community.”
Project Outreach was founded in 1983 and is a cooperative ministry of Christian churches in the Spring-Ford area. It is staffed entirely by volunteers and administered by a Board composed of representatives from these churches. Project Outreach operates two food pantries – one in Royersford and one in Spring City. Both pantries provide a weekly donation of groceries for individuals and families with limited incomes.
