
The Spring-Ford High School football team continued its winning ways on Friday night with a 49-35 victory over Pottsgrove in a Pioneer Athletic Conference showdown.
In a battle between the PAC-10 powerhouses, both squads showed why they were standing atop the standings as the game featured high-powered offenses.
Spring-Ford held a 28-21 advantage at halftime. In the second half, the Rams’ defense made just enough stops while the offense continued to roll en route to the victory.

In the fourth quarter, Pottsgrove scored to cut the Rams’ advantage to 42-35, but the Spring-Ford offense put the game away when Hank Coyne hit Andrew Scanlan for a 15-yard scoring pass to give Spring-Ford a 49-35 lead in the final minutes.
With the win, Spring-Ford improved to 3-0 in the conference and 5-1 overall. Pottsgrove suffered it’s first PAC-10 loss in five games and is now 4-2 overall.
