Rapidly Expanding Grocery Chain Opens New Montgomery Co. Store

The store joins a melee between Aldi, Lidl, and Target all within a few blocks of one another.

LIMERICK. TOWNSHIP, PA — A new Sprouts Farmers Market will open up in Limerick on Friday, Oct. 2, marking the third store in Montgomery County.

The store is located on 36 W. Ridge Pike.

The market focuses on fresh, natural, and organic food. They tout themselves as one of the fastest growing retailers of fresh produce in the country.

There are also locations nearby in Lansdale and Dresher. The Limerick market and the forthcoming Haverford store are the 7th and 8th stores in the five county Philadelphia region, with four stores also located in the city itself.

The new Sprouts moves into an intensely competitive retail stretch, where Lidl, Aldi, Giant, and Target Grocery are all within a few blocks of each other.

Sprouts grand opening event on Friday will begin with a ribbon cutting at 6:45 a.m., store opening at 7 a.m., a free reusable tote for the first 200 shoppers Friday, and a free rose for the first 400 shoppers. They're also offering a variety of other special grand opening discounts.
