Royersford Man Imprisoned After Gun Threats During Dog Fight

When his dog got in a fight with another dog while out for a walk, a Royersford man took out a gun and threatened to shoot.

ROYERSFORD, PA -- A Royersford man who threatened a neighbor with a gun after his dog got in a fight with another dog in East Pikeland has been sentenced to prison, police said.

The incident occurred on Saturday, January 30 at about 5 p.m. on West Ruth Avenue.

Desmond Johnson, 34, allegedly pointed the gun at the other dog's owner and said he would shoot that dog if the owner did not get him under control, police said.

Police arrested Johnson at the scene without incident.

He was convicted on charges of terroristic threats and harassment, and will spend the next three to 23 months in prison, according to court documents.
