Royersford Man Threatened Restaurant Owners, Customers: Police

Police said he threatened the restaurant and demanded it "pay the taxes to the big man."

ROYERSFORD, PA — A Royersford man has been charged after police said he entered a local restaurant and threatened the owners and customers.

The incident occurred earlier in May at the Three Brothers Grill on 60 N. Main Street in Spring City.

Stephen Brill, 55, walked into the establishment and demanded the restaurant "pay the taxes to the big man," according to police.

It's not clear if he meant the government or himself, nor is it known why he believed anything was owed.

He also left threatening notes and harassed people inside the restaurant, according to police.

The owner of the restaurant caught Brill's license plate as he left, and police used that along with security camera footage to identify Brill.

He faces charges of terroristic threats, harassment, and extortion.

A preliminary hearing is forthcoming.
