ROYERSFORD, PA — A local man in the U.S. Army was welcomed home from his first tour of duty in Iraq with a parade through downtown.

Denis Moyer III was welcomed home by a motorcycle escort from his father and around 24 other motorcyclists this weekend, according to the Lebanon Daily News.

As the entourage came into Royersford, the Royersford Fire Department, Spring City, Limerick, and Linfield Fire Companies, and Royersford, Upper Providence, and Limerick Police Departments all helped welcome them.

The parade went down Main Street and ended on 2nd Avenue, with members of the community waving American flags as they progressed.

"Having all my brothers here and other motorcycle groups, it's a big thing," Denis Jr. told the Lebanon Daily News. "Having him be a veteran and come back, this is what the United States is and this is how we show our support to our troops."
