Spring City Man Convicted In 'Unfathomable' Fatal Beating Of Girlfriend: DA
Authorities said the man inflicted "hours of unimaginable and relentless abuse" on his 21-year-old girlfriend.

SPRING CITY, PA — A Spring City man has been convicted of first degree murder in the savage beating death of his girlfriend in 2021.
Leroy Brahm, 33, faces a mandatory minimum sentence of life in prison as a result of the conviction.
“The Defendant unfathomably, brutally, and systematically beat his girlfriend to death during the course of a night," District Attorney Christopher L. de Barrena-Sarobe said in a statement. "The jury rightfully recognized that the Defendant was guilty of all charges."

The jury considered a wide array of evidence during the trial, including images of assaults on several different occasions leading up to the killing, text messages, and testimony from both civilians and expert witnesses.
Many of the attacks leading up to the killing were recorded on a home security system installed inside Brahm's home.

The incident occurred on the 800 block of Buttonwood Avenue back on Dec. 4, 2021. The night previous, Dec. 3, Brahm and his 21-year-old girlfriend, Annabel Meenan, had gone drinking at the Black Horse Tavern in Phoenixville, according to the DA's Office.
Some point after returning home, Brahm began to beat Meenan, police said. Bloodstains were found around the home, on the kitchen walls, the oven's glass door was shattered, and there was a hole found in the wall, according to the DA.
At the time of the incident, the DA's office posited "hours of unimaginable and relentless abuse" suffered by Meenan.
When police arrived at the home, they found Meenan lying unconscious on the floor with severe wounds, authorities said. Brahm was there but had made no life-saving attempts, according to the DA.
First responders began CPR and took Meenan to Phoenixville Hospital via Friendship Ambulance. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Chester County Court of Common Pleas Judge Alita A. Rovito presided over the trial.
