Spring-Ford 8th Grader Competes For USA Youth Field Hockey Teams

The Spring-Ford eighth grader competed on youth field hockey teams that represented the United States in junior competitions.

ROYERSFORD, PA — One incoming eighth grader at Spring-Ford Area School District had quite the summer.

Ashley Sessa competed as part of several youth field hockey teams that represented the United States at the junior levels of international competition.

She was part of the USA under-17 National Indoor Field Hockey Team, the under-16 National Junior Olympic Team, and the under-14 Stars and Stripes Elite Team, the district said.

She also competed in the U14 (Under 14) World Cup in the Netherlands.

Finally, her club team, the WC Eagles, won the U14 National Club Championships to close out the summer.
