ROYERSFORD, PA — Spring-Ford Area School District has once again been honored with a presitigious award recognizing its music education program.

The NAMM Foundation designated Spring-Ford among its "Best Communities for Music Education" for the third year in a row.

According to the NAMM Foundation, the award program recognizes outstanding efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students and community leaders who have made music education part of a well-rounded education. Designations are made to districts and schools that demonstrate an exceptionally high commitment and access to music education.

In order to qualify for the award, Spring-Ford had to provide information regarding funding, graduation requirements, facilities, participation in music classes, and more.

The Music Research Institute at the University of Kansas reviews all submissions.
