Spring-Ford To Host Presentation On Opioid Crisis For Parents

ROYERSFORD, PA -- The Spring-Ford School District will host a presentation on the opioid crisis and epidemic for parents, they announced Wednesday.
The presentation will occur across two sessions on Monday, November 21, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.
"This presentation recommended for all parents or concerned families to learn about the state of the problem, what can be done, what to look for and why is there a problem," the district said in a statement.

The presentation will be led by Bensalem Director of Public Safety Fred Harman, who served with the Bensalem Township Police Department for nearly three decades.
Spring-Ford said that Harran lectures around the nation on a variety of issues including DNA, current drug trends, and initiatives, school based prevention programs, domestic violence, grant writing and funding sources.

The event will take place in the 10-12 Media Center at Spring-Ford.
