Spring-Ford's Unique 'Project Lead the Way' Receives National Certification

The certification means that Spring-Ford's program has distinguished itself from other schools nationwide with the same program.

ROYERSFORD, PA – The Spring-Ford Area School District announced Tuesday that its local Project Lead the Way (PLTW) program has received national certification.

PTLW is a nonprofit organization that works with schools around the country. They aim to put students into the role of an engineer and encourage them to "adopt a problem-solving mindset, and make the leap from dreamers to doers," according to Spring-Ford.

The program has been underway since 2013. The program is designed to help students both broaden their curriculum and improve the professional development training which they receive, Spring-Ford said.
