THE MUSIC MAN at Steel River Playhouse

Start your summer with one of the greatest Broadway
musicals of all time, THE MUSIC MAN! When lovable, smooth-talking Harold Hill
comes marching into town, you know there’s going to be trouble right here in
River City. He promises to teach the town’s children how to play in a
magnificent marching band as part of a big con, but falling in love the Marian
the Librarian wasn’t part of the deal. When Marion tries to expose him as a
swindler, Hill sets out to win her heart and save his hide.



Director Kristin McLaughlin, music director Julie Eurillo, and choreographer
Jessica Bostock lead a cast of adults, teens, and children, including Naomi
Weiss as Marian, Tom Wang as Harold Hill, Christopher Sperat as Marcellus, Jim
Conte as Mayor Shinn, Sue Murphy as Eulalie Shinn, Katie Farnum as Mrs. Paroo,
Peter McKenney as Charlie, Dona Pizzo as Zaneeta, Trent Soto as Tommy, Riley
Keenan as Amaryllis, and, splitting the role of Winthrop, Nathan Esser and
Stephen Eurillo.  The barbershop quartet
is comprised of Randy Frame, Tom Newmyer, Lee Wesner, and John Williams.
Rounding out the cast are Erika Blue, Kendall
Bowden, Jacob Buckwalter, Simon Daum, Hannah Desko, Sharon Eyster, Nancy
Kadwill, Maddy Keenan, Christie Lohr, Sue Lowry, Becka Malanios, Christine Maziarz, Theo Okkerse, Carson Palladino, Jason Scansaroli, and Josiah
Swenson. Stage management is provided by Madison Devlin and the orchestra is
conducted by Barbara Newberry. 



THE MUSIC MAN runs Thursdays at
7:30, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00, and Sundays at 3:00 from June 5-22 for a
total of twelve performances. Tickets are $27 for adults ($24 on Thursdays), $24
for seniors ($21 on Thursdays), $17 for students and children ($15 on

Prior
to the performance of THE MUSIC MAN on Friday, June 6th will be our
third Annual Gala Fundraiser featuring live entertainment and food from over 24
local restaurants, caterers, bakeries and grocery stores, with tasting tables
from Sly Fox Brewery and Manatawny Still Works. The event celebrates the arts
in Pottstown and provides funding for the upcoming season.

wonderful slice of Americana will leave your entire family humming such
all-time favorites as “Ya Got Trouble, “Shipoopi”, “Goodnight Ladies”, “Gary,
Indiana,” and the show-stopping ”Seventy-Six Trombones”. Winner of 5 Tony
Awards including Best Musical, THE MUSIC MAN is a modern classic that’s sure to
please all ages!
