Breaking: Authorities said that the woman killed by a freight train in Royersford over the weekend was 20-year-old Kayla Metz.

ROYERSFORD, PA — Authorities confirmed that the woman killed by a freight train in Royersford over the weekend was 20-year-old Kayla Metz.

The manner of her death was ruled as suicide, the Montgomery County Coroner's Office said.

The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon on the tracks between Main Street and Arch Street, Royersford police said.

According to the Pottstown Mercury, which first reported the case, freight trains typically travel through the borough at about 40 miles per hour.

Both Main and Arch streets were shut down following the accident.

Police said that they were given the full cooperation of Norfolk Southern during their investigation.
