Warwick unveils first facility dog policy after Callie's death (fox43.com) — Warwick School District in Lititz has drafted its first standalone facility dog policy following the death of Callie at John Bonfield Elementary. The proposal tightens training, safety, and transportation rules, while local advocates push for added safeguards like verification checks so facility dogs are never left unattended in vehicles again.

Lititz crowd calls for justice at rally for Callie (lancasteronline.com) — Dozens of residents and supporters gathered in Lititz square to demand accountability and stronger safeguards after facility dog Callie’s death at John Bonfield Elementary. Marching from Lititz Elementary, participants urged Warwick School District to refine its new facility dog policy and fully address the principal’s role, while district leaders continue internal proceedings and policy revisions.
3. Lancaster County Births: August 4, 2026 (lancasteronline.com) — Several Lititz families are welcoming new babies, with births reported at UPMC Lititz and Women & Babies Hospital in late July and early August. The countywide list also includes parents from Lancaster, Quarryville, Mount Joy, and other nearby communities, offering a snapshot of growing families across the region.
4. Shapiro invests $38 million in traffic signal upgrades across Pa.
