Zoning officials have approved Oregon Ag’s plan and granted time for construction and for Blessings to vacate, but the foreclosure auction will only be canceled if a settlement is finalized and the bank is paid.

• Lititz man pleads guilty to defrauding federal government of over $741,000 (lancasteronline.com) — A Lititz resident has pleaded guilty in federal court to wire fraud tied to a COVID-era broadband subsidy program, involving more than $741,000 in overpayments. Prosecutors say he falsely claimed customers lived on tribal lands to secure higher reimbursements, and he now faces a potential lengthy prison sentence at a hearing scheduled for September.

• Local warriors are helping those who miscarry, have an ectopic pregnancy, and more every single day – Tri-State Alert (tristatealert.com) — Families in Lititz are among those receiving support from Sweet Grace Ministries, which helps parents coping with miscarriage, stillbirth, and neonatal loss across south-central Pennsylvania. The Chambersburg-based nonprofit provides hospital baskets, miscarriage bags, support groups, remembrance events, and more to hundreds of grieving families each year, and invites local residents to seek help or get involved in its work.
