Woman escapes alleged beatings using Bluetooth (northcentralpa.com) — A woman from the Lock Haven area told state police she escaped an alleged day-long assault by her ex-boyfriend in Pine Creek Township by locking herself in her car and using Bluetooth to reach help. Troopers say the suspect faces robbery, assault, false imprisonment, and other charges after damage to her vehicle, home, and landlord's property, and he has since been arraigned and released on unsecured bail.
   

2. Lock Haven man wanted for drugging and raping teen (northcentralpa.com) — Authorities in Lock Haven say a local man faces multiple serious sexual assault charges involving a teenage girl, following an investigation that included hospital treatment in the city and state police lab testing. Police report that DNA evidence strongly linked the suspect to material collected in a sexual assault exam, and he remains wanted as of publication. Residents should be aware an arrest warrant is active.
   

3. Loganton woman admits forging doctor's notes to excuse child's school absences (fox56.com) — In a Lock Haven courtroom, a Loganton woman has admitted forging multiple doctor's notes to excuse a child's absences from Keystone Central School District. Prosecutors say she used falsified medical excuses at least 17 times, and a judge has ordered a pre-sentence investigation ahead of her October 6 sentencing.
   

4. Sons scholarship recipient discusses impact on college, service (lockhaven.com) — Lock Haven's Giosue Carducci Lodge of the Sons and Daughters of Italy is spotlighting how its long-running scholarship program is helping local graduates pursue college and service. Recipient and club member Teagan Rogers explains how the support eased balancing West Chester University studies with his Army National Guard duties and future plans in physical therapy.
   

5. Penn College issues Summer 2026 dean's list (pct.edu) — Pennsylvania College of Technology has released its Summer 2026 dean's list, which includes several students from Lock Haven in programs like business administration, welding technology, and human services.
