Police Cite Chick-fil-A for False Burglary Alarm

False alarm was fourth such incident at Lower Macungie restaurant in the last 12 months, police say.

State police have cited the Chick-fil-A restaurant in Lower Macungie for a false alarm for burglary -- the fourth time in the last 12 months the restaurant has been cited for such an alleged violation.

A state police fax said troopers were dispatched to a burglary alarm at 10:19 p.m. Nov. 2, a Saturday, at the Chick-fil-A at 6379 Hamilton Blvd. Troopers determined the alarm was set falsely, the fax says.

The fax also says it was the fourth time state police have responded to such an incident in the last 12 months.

Charges were filed at the office of District Judge Michael Faulkner of Upper Macungie, whose jurisdiction includes Lower Macungie.
