Our Paxson Campus is in the heart of Newtown Borough, close to shops, dining and local events. Our Styer Campus, on Lower Dolington Road, boasts raised-bed gardens and walking paths for resident enjoyment. The full calendar of resident-informed programming features lectures, wellness classes, discussion groups and cultural events to promote residents’ intellectual, physical and social well-being. If needed, Friends Village provides our residents with flexible, affordable support in their own apartments through its NeighborCare program. By using our long-tenured and dedicated staff, it is a home care service without the onerous minimum hours or uncertain staffing of agencies. And if care needs increase further, personal care is available in our historic Paxson Hall. What truly sets Friends Village apart is the warm sense of community. The <a href="http://6abc.com/news/driver-dead-after-vehicle-crashes-into-lower-moreland-hs/726327/" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">driver who died after crashing a truck into the side of Lower Moreland High School</a> on Saturday has been identified, 6 ABC reports.The driver was Filipe Andre Pinto Silva, 32, of Huntingdon Valley, according to the report. One witness reported seeing Silva's black pickup truck with Virginia tags speed for 150 yards across the school's parking lot before colliding with the building.He died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.The accident <a href="http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/Truck-Crash-Lower-Moreland-High-School-304001621.html" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">left a large hole in the side of the school</a>, according to NBC 10. The accident took place between 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. Silva crashed the truck into an empty janitor's office.
