Flyers Defenseman Arrested For DUI In Lower Moreland, Reports Say

The Flyers defenseman could be charged with driving under the influence, reports state.

LOWER MORELAND, PA -- Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Evgeny Medvedev was arrested by Lower Moreland police early Wednesday morning for allegedly driving under the influence, according to reports.

Medvedev, from Russia, had been acquired by the Flyers prior to the start of the 2015-2016 season.

Medvedev, who lives in South Jersey, was stopped on Byberry Road at about 2:45 a.m. on Wednesday, the Allentown Morning Call reports.

The 33-year-old submitted to a toxicology test, and formal charges and pending the results of that test, Philly.com reports.
