Whether you were able to register for one of the acrylic painting kits for older kids or not, you can follow this instructional video using the following supplies.

Supply list:

• Canvas (14 in. x 14 in.)
• Black acrylic paint
• White acrylic paint
• Purple acrylic paint
• Orange acrylic paint
• Yellow acrylic paint
• Wide brush (3/4 in.)
• Round brush (size 2 is good)
• Paper plate or something else that can be used as a paint palette
• Cup for water (any cup will work, but you will be putting paint in it)
• Easel or something like newspaper to put down and protect surfaces if painting flat

Instructions targeted toward third-fifth graders.

*PLEASE NOTE: Acrylic paint does not wash out. You should wear old or protective clothing when doing this project. If you do not have your own easel and will be painting on a flat surface, we highly recommend laying the canvas on newspaper or magazine or something else to protect any surfaces from getting paint on them.
