If needed, Friends Village provides our residents with flexible, affordable support in their own apartments through its NeighborCare program. There is a catch: customers must purchase a beverage to get their free handful of sweet deliciousness.National Donut Day started in 1938 by the Chicago Salvation Army to honor women who served donuts to soldiers during World War I, according to information from Dunkin' Donuts.It's celebrated on the first Friday of June."Donuts have a special place in our country's history and culture, creating moments of delight, lifting spirits and bringing people together at work and at home.
