Throughout the evening Bostock will offer guitar selections from a variety of styles. The Bryn Athyn resident has studied with such luminaries as Dennis Sandole, author of Guitar Lore and teacher of John Coltrane, George Benson and Pat Martino. Over the years, he’s played in small groups, big bands, jazz ensembles and rock, soul, disco and country bands. He appeared as a soloist with Latin legend Johnny Pacheco at the Allentown Symphony and Annenberg Center in “A Night of Latin Classics,” featuring arrangements commissioned for the concert from artists like Reuben Gonzales and Bebo Valdes.
Glencairn, former home to the Raymond and Mildred Pitcairn family, has its own cloister that replicates in smaller scale the serene covered colonnades and open quadrangles attached to European cathedrals, monasteries and convents to provide protected walkways for the religious orders living there.

The Pitcairns chose an avian theme for the stone work in the cloister, and visitors will find a variety of birds carved into the capitals of the supporting columns. The tranquil setting also features white-themed gardens laid out by award-winning designer Danielle Odhner, who created and maintains the gardens at Bryn Athyn Cathedral as well as Glencairn.
